Customs & Documentation
Being directly linked with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) we can offer swift input and clearance of all customs entries from any port in UK for non-EU cargo. We also have our own loader badge to allow us to obtain "permission to load" status within seconds, so customers know very quickly if any further paperwork etc is required.
Using specialist software we can issue the new bar-coded EAD (export accompanying document) as soon as the entry is submitted to HMRC. This document is replacing the c88 copy 3 which is gradually being phased out. The EAD is already being requested by importers in middle and Far East for their ease of customs clearances in their own countries.
Premiership are inventory linked through the Destin 8 system for Bristol (Portbury and Avonmouth) for speed and accuracy of all import customs entry procedures, from full imports to warehousing/IPR/CFSP etc.
We can also input for any UK non-inventory phase 1 linked port and have agents in other phase 2 inventory linked ports we can use for continuity, we also have an EPU (048) badge for any port in Wales.
Specialist software is available to produce the latest versions of harmonised import C88 (6) trader input.
Customs entries along with E2 prints are emailed or faxed to the customers as soon as the entries have cleared customs control.
For the past 20 years our customs office has been well located at Bristol Royal Portbury Dock. We have a wealth of experience in the field of customs formalities and can accommodate any requests for sea freight clearance.
Things to know about exports
On July 1st 2009, the European commission introduced the economic operator registration and identification (EORI) scheme. This means if you have a UK VAT number and would like to import or export out of the UK then you must register your vat number.
If you have not registered, this can be done by filling out an application form and returning it to the customs authority. Please click here for more information.
